We
are a family run business which started six years ago
when I wrote my first recipes for cooking with whole grain
wheat. I then wrote and published a recipe book while
being on an assignment with my local Relief
Society group, a Christian
organisation aiming at helping women and their families.
My
assignment consisted in helping families to store food,
rotate and use the food in their every day diet. One of
the foods to store was whole grain wheat and the families
found it hard to use it regularly. So as I researched
and experimented in order to help the families, I came
up with the Wheat de Savor, a product that I obtained
after boiling the wheat and then grinding it (see website
to find out how to make this product).
Further
research showed me that my new found product was excellent
for cooking with whole grain wheat and that no one had
tried to use wheat grain that way before.
Although
working in education as a Linguist, I also have a sound
knowledge of nutrition and balanced diet as I have studied
nutrition at College and then reading on the topic for
over 24 years. Several years ago, I also followed training
which gave me the knowledge and understanding of the main
principles of making nutritional dishes out of raw food
ingredients and the skills for cooking.
